Will this set fit a GE Fit with rear disc brakes?

No. This set is built for GE Fits with rear drum brakes. The GE8 RS with rear discs uses its own separate stainless set from the same range. Check whether a drum or a rotor and caliper sit behind your rear wheel, and confirm the chassis code, before ordering.

Do the SUS Brake Lines for GE cars fit the US market Fit?

The SUS Brake Lines for GE cars are listed for the GE8, the chassis code of the 2009 to 2013 US market Fit, along with the GE6, GE7 and GE9. The car must have rear drum brakes. Early and late production are both covered, so the mid cycle facelift does not change fitment.

Why replace rubber hoses that are not leaking?

Rubber hoses do not have to be worn out to cost you feel. Under hard braking the fluid heats up and the rubber expands, so the pedal sinks and goes soft. The braided PTFE line hardly expands, so the pedal keeps the same height and bite from the first stop to the last.

How long does installation take?

The manufacturer does not publish an install time. It classes the lines as a critical safety part and specifies fitting by a shop equipped for brake work, with a complete air bleed afterward. Budget for fresh brake fluid and have the work done by a technician you trust.

Will the stainless fittings corrode?

The fittings are SUS stainless steel, chosen by the manufacturer for rust resistance and durability over time. That makes them a good match for a car that sees rain or road salt. Inspect the lines and fittings at each brake service, as you would with any brake hose.

Description

J’s Racing SUS Brake Lines for GE Honda Fit with Rear Drum Brakes

J’s Racing’s SUS Brake Lines for GE Fits with rear drum brakes cover the GE6, GE7, GE8 and GE9, early and late production alike, so one part number serves most of the second generation Fit. The Osaka company swaps the factory rubber hoses for PTFE line sheathed in stainless mesh and a clear coat, finished with SUS stainless fittings that shrug off rust. The point is a pedal that responds sharply to small inputs and does not wander as the fluid heats. It is a sensible early upgrade for a GE that runs autocross or track days on the factory drum rear, and less pressing for a car that never sees hard braking.

Development and Testing

J’s Racing sends every hose through its own pressure test before shipping, applying pressure line by line to confirm there is no leak. The construction is the same one the company uses in motorsport, where it reports the lines have proven tough and durable. That background matters on a Fit, where the light car and modest brakes depend on consistent pedal feel more than outright clamping force.

Features

Aircraft-derived PTFE hose inside stainless steel mesh resists swelling under heat

About J’s Racing

J’s Racing was established in Osaka in 1989, as VTEC engines and lightweight Civics and Integras were changing what a Honda could do, and it has built parts for Hondas ever since. The company develops engine response, suspension, braking, cooling and aerodynamics together as one system, then proves the parts in time attack, gymkhana, endurance and circuit racing. Its Fit lapped Tsukuba Circuit in 1’00.459, and its naturally aspirated AP1 S2000, the Maou car, became the company’s reference build for the Honda roadster. Every J’s Racing part is designed and tested in Japan, and J’s Racing USA in Carson, California handles distribution in the United States.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
