J’s Racing’s Type-S GT Bumper for GE8 Fit RS late model cars was built to win races, and it did. Based on the shape of the earlier GE GT bumper, every detail was refined for Super Taikyu, where it was approved as a designated aero part for 2011. At Fuji Speedway in July 2011, round two of the series, the BRP and J’s Racing Fit ran this bumper to a pole-to-win result, and it went on to support the Fit’s class victory. The bumper is FRP in black gelcoat. It suits a facelifted RS that will see real circuit time; a car kept for looks alone may find its function goes unused.

Design and Performance

J’s Racing simplified the main opening and added ducts for brake cooling to cut drag, while the integrated front under panel speeds up airflow beneath the car to produce front downforce. Press lines on each side act like canards and guide air around the flanks. The opening is wider than stock with guides that push more air through the radiator, and each brake duct accepts a 65mm hose. An asymmetric grille enlarges the inlet that feeds the engine intake to lower intake air temperature.

Special order items from overseas take considerably longer.
