Does it fit the CVT CR-Z?

No. The manufacturer lists this radiator for six-speed manual CR-Z models only, and the CVT version is not covered. If your car is a CVT, contact us before ordering and we will check with the supplier whether another option exists for your transmission.

How thick is the Max Cooling Radiator for ZF1 cars?

The Max Cooling Radiator for ZF1 cars is 36mm thick. Rather than relying on thickness alone, it gains capacity through Flex Round press forming, which keeps the aluminum at full thickness through bends and folds. No weight, row count or core size is published, so none is listed here.

Will I keep the air conditioning?

Yes. The manufacturer confirms that both the cooling fan and the air conditioning can be installed with this radiator. That makes it suitable for a CR-Z driven daily that also visits the circuit, since you do not have to give up comfort features to gain cooling capacity.

What is the heat dissipation coating?

It is an optional coating offered by the manufacturer that increases the cooling effect further, recommended for owners who do a lot of sports driving. The coating is not part of this listing, so contact us if you would like to ask about adding it before your radiator is built.

Why does coolant temperature matter for power?

When coolant runs hot, the ECU applies a high-temperature correction that reduces power and can hurt fuel economy. By keeping temperatures stable at full throttle, the radiator helps the engine avoid that correction, which the manufacturer counts among the main benefits of fitting it for circuit or sports driving.

Description

J’s Racing Max Cooling Radiator for ZF1 Honda CR-Z

J’s Racing’s Max Cooling Radiator for ZF1 CR-Z drivers is an all-aluminum unit built for six-speed manual cars, with weight and cooling efficiency as the twin priorities. J’s Racing uses its Flex Round one-piece press forming, a new process that keeps full material thickness through every bend and fold, to gain strength and lose weight while making the most of the space for extra capacity. At 36mm thick, it is designed to stop coolant temperature climbing during full-throttle driving. It belongs on a CR-Z used for circuit or spirited sports driving in any season; CVT owners should note it is listed for 6MT cars.

Tips

J’s Racing offers an optional heat dissipation coating and recommends it for owners who drive on track often, since it raises the cooling effect further. Both the cooling fan and the air conditioning can be installed with this radiator. Stable coolant temperature also keeps the ECU from applying its high-temperature correction, which cuts power and worsens fuel economy.

About J’s Racing

J’s Racing was established in Osaka in 1989, as VTEC engines and lightweight Civics and Integras were changing what a Honda could do, and it has built parts for Hondas ever since. The company develops engine response, suspension, braking, cooling and aerodynamics together as one system, then proves the parts in time attack, gymkhana, endurance and circuit racing. Its Fit lapped Tsukuba Circuit in 1’00.459, and its naturally aspirated AP1 S2000, the Maou car, became the company’s reference build for the Honda roadster. Every J’s Racing part is designed and tested in Japan, and J’s Racing USA in Carson, California handles distribution in the United States.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
