Do the fenders come painted?

No. The fenders are FRP finished in black gelcoat and need to be prepared and painted to match the car, which is not included. Test fit them before paint so any adjustment happens first, and budget body shop time for color matching.

How much wider are the Front Wide Fenders for DC2 cars?

The Front Wide Fenders for DC2 cars extend the body by approximately 15mm on each side. That is enough to clear a wider front track or a slightly wider tire while keeping the factory body line. Because the figure is approximate, measure your own wheel and tire package before ordering.

Can I keep my factory front bumper?

Yes. The manufacturer designed the fenders to be compatible with the genuine bumper, so they blend into the stock front end without needing a matching aftermarket bumper. The body line stays close to the original, which keeps the clean look of the Integra Type R while adding a little width.

What does the fender duct actually do?

Air inside a spinning wheel well becomes turbulent and adds drag. The duct at the rear of each fender gives that air a path out, which the manufacturer says reduces drag. Similar ducts are used on imported high-end sports cars, so the vent also adds a sportier look to the front of the car.

Are both sides included?

Yes. The kit is a left and right pair, enough for one car. Each fender is FRP with a black gelcoat finish, and the pair is listed for the DC2 Integra Type R, including the 1997 to 2001 Acura Integra Type R sold in the United States as well as the earlier Japanese model.

Description

J’s Racing Front Wide Fenders for DC2 Honda Integra Type R

J’s Racing’s Front Wide Fenders for DC2 Integra Type R chassis make room for a wider track or a wider front tire without the boxy look of bolt-on flares. Each FRP fender stands out roughly 15mm further than stock per side, works with the factory front bumper and follows the original body line, so the car still reads as a Type R. A duct at the trailing edge of each fender draws turbulent air out of the wheel house, which J’s Racing says helps reduce drag. From a Honda-only Osaka tuner, they suit owners going to wider wheels or offsets; a car on stock wheels gains only the styling.

Design and Performance

Fender ducts like these appear on imported high-end sports cars, and J’s Racing uses one here for the same reason: air trapped in the wheel well is turbulent and adds drag, so giving it an exit at the back of the fender cleans up the flow down the side of the car. The vent also gives the front end a sportier look, so the fenders work for style builds as well as circuit cars.

About J’s Racing

J’s Racing was established in Osaka in 1989, as VTEC engines and lightweight Civics and Integras were changing what a Honda could do, and it has built parts for Hondas ever since. The company develops engine response, suspension, braking, cooling and aerodynamics together as one system, then proves the parts in time attack, gymkhana, endurance and circuit racing. Its Fit lapped Tsukuba Circuit in 1’00.459, and its naturally aspirated AP1 S2000, the Maou car, became the company’s reference build for the Honda roadster. Every J’s Racing part is designed and tested in Japan, and J’s Racing USA in Carson, California handles distribution in the United States.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
