Can these arms add positive camber?

No. The arms adjust in the negative direction only, which is what a lowered or track-focused car needs to keep the outside tire flat in corners. Adjustment is stepless, so any negative setting within the range can be chosen, and a wheel alignment should follow installation to set camber and toe correctly.

Are the Front Upper Arms for EG6 designed around US-market Civics?

No. The Front Upper Arms for EG6 cars are designed for the Japanese-market EG6 Civic SiR with the B16A engine and may not fit a US-market EG Civic. Owners of US cars should confirm their chassis details with Bulletproof Automotive before placing an order.

Will they work on a lowered car?

Yes. The manufacturer updated the design so it is compatible with vehicles running a lower ride height. That matters because lowering an EG6 changes the front geometry, and adjustable camber lets you bring the tire back to an angle that suits your driving instead of accepting whatever the new height gives you.

How do the arms change the handling?

Setting the front camber more negative increases grip in corners, and the stepless adjustment lets you fine tune the car for sports driving. The reinforced bushings reduce unwanted movement, which the manufacturer says gives more direct handling and a clearer connection between the steering wheel and the front tires.

What comes in the box?

One right front negative upper arm and one left front negative upper arm, enough for one car. Pair them with an adjustable rear upper arm if you want to tune camber front and rear together, and budget for a professional alignment once the arms are installed so the new settings are measured properly.

Description

J’s Racing Front Upper Arms for EG6 Honda Civic

J’s Racing’s Front Upper Arms for EG6 Civic SiR chassis, listed by the company as its Front Negative Upper Arm, bring adjustable front camber to the B16A hatch. Dialing in more negative camber keeps the outside front tire flatter on the road mid-corner, which J’s Racing says raises cornering grip and opens up finer setup choices for sports driving. Reinforced bushings add a more direct steering feel. The Osaka company has developed parts exclusively for Hondas since 1989. These arms suit a lowered EG6 that sees track or autocross use; a car driven only on the street at stock height rarely needs extra camber.

Tips

Adjustment is stepless, so camber can be set to the exact value your alignment sheet calls for rather than in fixed increments, but it only moves in the negative direction. The latest version is also compatible with cars running a lower ride height. Plan on a full alignment after fitting.

About J’s Racing

J’s Racing was established in Osaka in 1989, as VTEC engines and lightweight Civics and Integras were changing what a Honda could do, and it has built parts for Hondas ever since. The company develops engine response, suspension, braking, cooling and aerodynamics together as one system, then proves the parts in time attack, gymkhana, endurance and circuit racing. Its Fit lapped Tsukuba Circuit in 1’00.459, and its naturally aspirated AP1 S2000, the Maou car, became the company’s reference build for the Honda roadster. Every J’s Racing part is designed and tested in Japan, and J’s Racing USA in Carson, California handles distribution in the United States.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
