Only when the downpipes are paired with the factory exhaust. NOVITEC requires the TECTRONIC module for that combination. If you’re running a NOVITEC exhaust system, the TECTRONIC requirement doesn’t apply to the downpipes. However, when running a NOVITEC system with these downpipes you will be required to use the GTRONIC for error indications.

NOVITEC Sport Downpipes for F173M Ferrari 849 Testarossa

On a turbocharged engine, the downpipe is the first part of the exhaust that exhaust gas reaches after leaving the turbine, which is why it’s often the most restrictive section. NOVITEC replaces the factory downpipes with 100-cell sport downpipes. These have far fewer, larger channels, so exhaust gas leaves each turbo with much less resistance. Lower backpressure after the turbine lets the turbos spool and breathe more freely. The result is a gain in power and torque from the 4.0L twin-turbo V8 that you can feel well before peak RPM. The NOVITEC 849 Testarossa Downpipes are sold as a pair, one for each turbo, and are built from premium stainless steel or stainless steel with 999 fine-gold plating.

Special order items from overseas take considerably longer.
