Does the Head Cover for GE8 fit the CR-Z?

Yes. Spoon registers the Head Cover for GE8 for both CR-Z versions, the ZF1 from 2010 and the updated ZF2 from 2012, alongside the GE8 Fit RS. One part number per color serves either car, so a CR-Z owner orders exactly the same red or yellow cover as a Fit owner.

Why is the yellow cover special to Spoon?

Spoon originally painted the yellow cover only for engines it built itself, so it marked a Spoon engine rather than a catalogue part. Owners kept asking to buy the cover alone, and Spoon eventually agreed, which is how the yellow version became available to Fit and CR-Z drivers.

Will it fit the 1.3L Fit?

No. Spoon registers the cover for the 1.5L GE8 only, so the 1.3L engines in other second-generation Fit models are outside its fitment. Go Tuning lists more Fit chassis codes, but BA follows the structured Spoon fitment until Spoon confirms the others for this part.

Is a gasket supplied?

Yes, according to Go Tuning, which lists the factory gaskets with the cover. Spoon Japan does not publish the contents for this part, so BA quotes the distributor. Fitting the cover with fresh seals is normal practice and keeps the swap from creating an oil weep later on.

How much does it weigh?

Spoon lists the cover at 1.5 kg and ships it in a box of 46.5 x 26 x 11.5 cm. It is the factory-style cover with a Spoon finish, so weight stays close to standard; the purpose of the part is appearance and a sense of occasion, not a reduction in mass.

Description

Spoon Sports Head Cover for GE8 Honda Fit and ZF1 / ZF2 CR-Z

The Spoon Sports Head Cover for GE8 Fit and ZF1 / ZF2 CR-Z was never meant to be sold on its own. Spoon painted these covers yellow for engines it built in-house, and enough owners asked for one that the company began offering the cover separately; a red version, matched in color and texture to the covers Honda puts on its Type R models, sits beside it. The second-generation Fit RS and the CR-Z hybrid share the part, which is why one listing covers a city hatchback and a compact sports coupe. At a listed 1.5 kg it is a factory-form cover with a Spoon finish, not a mechanical change, and it suits an owner who has spent money under the car and wants something to show for it under the hood.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
