Is the Engine Cover for 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS cars made for the 911 GT3 as well?

No. RYFT lists the engine cover for 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS cars only. The GT3 and GT3 RS share the 4.0 liter flat six, but RYFT designed this cover within its RS aero package and does not offer it for the 911 GT3 or GT3 Touring.

Which engine sits under the GT3 RS engine cover?

A naturally aspirated 4.0 liter flat six with six individual throttle bodies, making 518 hp at 8,500 rpm in the GT3 RS against 502 hp in the 911 GT3. Porsche pairs it with a seven speed PDK, and the RS reaches 60 mph in 3.0 seconds with a top speed of 184 mph.

Which RYFT exhausts suit a GT3 RS with this engine cover?

RYFT offers a titanium Performance exhaust, a titanium Race exhaust and a complete Performance system with headers for the 992 GT3 and GT3 RS. All three are handmade in titanium around RYFT velocity loops. The engine cover changes the look at the rear, and an exhaust changes the sound, so many owners order them together.

How should a carbon engine cover be cared for?

Heat from the engine bay is the main stress on carbon at the rear of a car, so a ceramic coating rated for heat is the best protection for the clear finish. Wash with a pH neutral shampoo once the car has cooled, and avoid harsh degreasers near the edges of the cover.

Who should install the RYFT engine cover?

A Porsche specialist. The rear of the GT3 RS carries engine air intakes and the wing structure nearby, and the work should be done by someone who knows the car. A specialist will fit the cover with even gaps and confirm that everything around it works as Porsche intended.

Description

RYFT Carbon Fiber Engine Cover for 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS

RYFT’s engine cover for 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS cars brings 2×2 twill carbon fiber to the rear of the car, above the naturally aspirated 4.0 liter flat-six that makes 518 hp at 8,500 rpm. That engine, with six individual throttle bodies and a seven-speed PDK behind it, is the reason most owners chose an RS, and RYFT’s engine cover gives it a carbon frame. This is one of the larger parts in the RYFT program, and we would pair it with one of the RYFT titanium exhausts for the car.

Construction

RYFT re-engineered the OE plastic elements of the RS in lightweight carbon fiber for its package, and the engine cover is among the larger pieces in that program. On a Weissach car, whose hood and roof already show bare carbon, it carries exposed weave to the back of the car as well. RYFT also builds titanium exhausts for the 992 GT3 and GT3 RS, so an owner can change both the look and the sound at the back of the car through one supplier.

Features

Carbon fiber engine cover for the rear of the RS
Visible 2×2 twill weave
One of the larger pieces in the RYFT RS program

Applications

Porsche 911 GT3 RS: 992.1 | 2023-2025 | 4.0L naturally aspirated flat-six

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
