RYFT’s hood louvers for 992 Porsche 911 GT3 RS cars are the second of two RYFT carbon parts for the front lid, offered separately from the hood outlets so the owner chooses how much visible carbon goes on the panel seen most from the driver’s seat. The RS lid is unusual among 911 hoods because it is vented: Porsche routes air from the central radiator in the nose up through the lid instead of keeping a luggage compartment there. On a painted car the louvers alone give a restrained result, while the louvers and outlets together make the full statement.

Design

Porsche builds the RS front lid in carbon fiber reinforced plastic as standard, painted to match the body, and the Weissach package leaves it bare. RYFT’s louvers bring 2×2 twill to that lid on either specification. RYFT gives no separate design brief for the louvers beyond its package description of OE plastic remade in lightweight carbon, so we let the product images and the hood itself make the case.
