What does the Rear Bumper Shell for McLaren 750S take the place of?

RYFT describes the part as a carbon fiber rear bumper shell with side vents for the 750S. Bulletproof Automotive confirms fitment details with RYFT before ordering the Rear Bumper Shell for McLaren 750S, including which factory parts it replaces and which fittings, such as grilles and sensors, transfer across.

How does the RYFT shell compare with the factory carbon bumper option?

McLaren offers the 750S rear bumper in carbon fiber as a factory option, so some cars already have carbon here. The RYFT shell adds side vents and the RYFT design language, so on those cars the difference is shape and detail. On a car with the painted bumper, the change is far more dramatic.

Which RYFT bumper shell suits a 720S?

The 720S takes the RYFT rear bumper shell with side vents under a separate part number. This listing, 29-20-1040, is the 750S shell, shaped for the new bumper McLaren designed for that car, which sits closer to the hard points and leaves more of the rear tires exposed.

How involved is fitting a bumper shell?

This is a full bumper job and belongs with a McLaren-experienced body shop. The rear of the car has to be partly dismantled, factory fittings moved across, and every gap set against the rear deck and fenders. Expect the car to stay with the shop longer than for a trim install, and plan protection film at the same visit.

Can the shell be ordered with the RYFT 750S race exhaust?

Yes. RYFT sells a titanium race exhaust with a satin black tip for the 750S, and both parts belong to the same RYFT program for the car. Ordering them together lets one shop fit both in a single visit, which can save labor if the rear of the car has to come apart for either job.

Description

RYFT Carbon Fiber Side-Vented Rear Bumper Shell for McLaren 750S

RYFT’s carbon fiber side-vented rear bumper shell for McLaren 750S is the most expensive piece in RYFT’s 750S range, a carbon shell for the rear bumper with vents built into its sides. McLaren redesigned the 750S bumper so it sits closer to the hard points, exposing the rear tires and venting the arches, and offers it in carbon as a factory option. The RYFT shell is for the owner who wants the whole rear in RYFT weave and is ready for a full bumper job; the valance and diffuser do much of the visual work for less.

Construction

A bumper shell is a complete visible panel rather than a trim, so it carries more of the rear character of the car than any other RYFT part apart from the wing. The side vents in RYFT’s design give the outer edges of the tail their own detail, and the 2×2 twill runs across the width of the car. RYFT developed the shell first for the 720S and lists the 750S version under its own part number to suit the new McLaren bumper.

Features

Full rear bumper shell in 2×2 twill carbon fiber
Side vents integrated in RYFT’s design
Shaped for the redesigned 750S rear bumper
The most complete carbon change RYFT offers for the tail

Applications

McLaren 750S: 2024-present | 4.0L M840T twin-turbo V8

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
