RYFT’s carbon fiber hood for McLaren Artura cars is the part that changes the car most from the driver’s seat, since it fills the view over the dashboard. RYFT’s own product address calls it a race hood, and the reference is the Artura GT4, which McLaren built with ducts in its hood. We see it as a part for owners committed to the full RYFT look; on its own it is a large step, and it makes most sense once the splitter is in place.

Design

McLaren formed the Artura body from superformed aluminum panels, heated above 500 degrees Celsius and shaped instead of stamped, which let the designers reduce panel joints and keep the surfaces unusually smooth. Against those factory surfaces, the RYFT hood is a change of material and texture in exposed 2×2 twill. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer.
