The Nitron MINI Cooper NTR-R3 Coilover Kit is for R50 and R53 owners whose Cooper Works, Cooper S Works, or JCW spends its time changing direction quickly and who want to control how it does it. A small, light MINI transfers weight fast, and the Nitron MINI Cooper NTR-R3 gives you four independent adjustments at each corner, high speed and low speed for both compression and rebound, so you can set how the car settles between turns separately from how it handles a rough patch of road. Hose-connected reservoirs are used at the front and the rear, adjustable spring perches set ride height and corner weights, and the OEM rear suspension type is retained. For a driver who wants to tune a Works MINI properly, the Nitron MINI Cooper NTR-R3 offers far more control than a single dial.

Specialized Bi-Axis Hose Fittings

A remote reservoir lets the canister sit away from the damper, but only if the hose can leave the damper at the right angle. Nitron fits Bi-Axis connectors that rotate 720 degrees on two axes, so each hose can be turned toward its reservoir before it is secured. On a Works MINI with hose reservoirs at all four corners, that means every line can take a short, natural path instead of being bent to suit a fixed fitting. High speed compression and rebound govern sharp inputs such as a pothole, a ridge, or a broken edge, so they decide how the car copes with a poor surface. Because the four settings are independent, a change to one leaves the others where you put them. Each damper is a passive nitrogen-pressurized monotube with a remote reservoir, hand assembled to order in the UK and fitted with race springs.

Bespoke Engineering

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse.
