What do the GiroDisc 380mm Front Rotors for C5 applications include?

The GiroDisc 380mm Front Rotors for C5 Audi RS6 and Gallardo applications come as a left and right pair of rotor assemblies with the caliper spacers and longer bolts needed to fit them. Nothing else is required to move from the factory 365mm disc to this 380mm size.

Why are caliper spacers needed with these front rotors?

The GiroDisc disc is 380mm across against 365mm for the original, so the caliper has to sit slightly further out to clear it. The supplied spacers and longer bolts relocate the factory caliper by the right amount, which is why no other modification is needed.

What does the larger 380mm disc add on an RS6 or Gallardo?

GiroDisc states the 380mm rotor provides greater braking force and cooling capacity than the 365mm original. The bigger diameter gives the caliper a longer lever arm, and the extra iron and curved vanes give the heat more places to go during repeated hard stops.

Will the C5 RS6 brake calipers be replaced?

No. The original calipers are kept and simply mounted on the supplied spacers. Only the rotors change, so the job is far simpler and cheaper than a full big brake kit, and the factory calipers remain serviceable with standard parts.

Are these front rotors fitted on a particular side?

Yes. The cooling vanes are curved and pump air outward only when they turn in the correct direction. GiroDisc makes left and right handed rotors and labels each one for its position, so fit them to the side marked during installation.

Description

GiroDisc 380mm Front Rotors for C5 Audi RS6 and Lamborghini Gallardo with Caliper Spacers

GiroDisc’s 380mm Front Rotors for C5 Audi RS6 and Lamborghini Gallardo applications step the front disc up from the factory 365mm to 380mm, adding braking force and cooling capacity without a new caliper. GiroDisc supplies the caliper spacers and longer bolts the larger disc needs, so the kit arrives complete. It suits the owner who wants more front brake on a car that shares this Audi and Lamborghini era of hardware, while keeping the original calipers.

Fitment and Installation

The 380mm Front Rotors for C5 RS6 and Gallardo applications fit as a direct replacement once the supplied spacers move each caliper out to suit the larger diameter. Twelve cadmium-plated alloy steel drive pins float the iron ring on a 6061-T6 aluminum hat, and anti-noise spring washers keep the assembly quiet when cold while letting the ring expand with heat.

Features

380mm diameter versus the factory 365mm disc, per GiroDisc
Caliper spacers and longer bolts included
12 high-strength alloy steel drive pins
Curved vanes that pump air from the hub outward
6061-T6 aircraft-specification aluminum hat
Rotors labeled left and right

What’s Included

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
