GiroDisc’s Rear Rotors for Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 6-9 models bring the rear disc down to about 12 lb per assembly against 14.5 lb for the factory part, by GiroDisc measurement, using a two-piece floating design built around the original calipers and parking brake. The ring is GiroDisc’s proprietary iron, poured in the USA and machined in-house, on a 6061-T6 aluminum hat with ten drive pins. Paired with the GiroDisc fronts, they suit an Evo built for time attack or track days.

Fitment and Installation

The rotors mount to the hub in place of the factory discs and retain the factory parking brake. To accommodate the hardware arrangement of the two-piece disc, a minor modification is needed at installation; GiroDisc includes a disclaimer and instructions with the rotors, and we can talk you through the requirements before you order. Cap screws are never tightened beyond 60 in-lb (7 Nm).
