The F56 MINI Cooper NTR-R3 Coilover Kit from Nitron is for F56 owners who have outgrown a single damping setting and want to tune the car’s body control and its bump response separately. Each corner has independent high speed and low speed adjustment for both compression and rebound. That matters in a front-drive car under power, where a rough corner exit can unsettle the front tires and a damper that can be tuned at both speeds helps keep them in contact with the road. The kit uses hose-connected reservoirs at the front and piggyback reservoirs at the rear, the rear is a coilover layout, and adjustable spring perches set ride height and corner weights.

Specialized Bi-Axis Hose Fittings

The front dampers connect to their reservoirs by hose, so the way each hose leaves the damper matters. Nitron fits Bi-Axis connectors that rotate 720 degrees on two axes, which lets the hose be turned to point where it needs to go before it is secured. The line can then take a short, natural route to the reservoir without a tight bend or tension on the fitting.
