Which trucks does the COBB Silver Intercooler for Ford Bronco Raptor and Ranger Raptor fit?

COBB lists USDM Bronco Raptor trucks from 2022 through 2026 and USDM Ranger Raptor trucks from 2024 through 2026, all automatic with the 3.0L EcoBoost V6. It is not listed for the standard Bronco or Ranger, so confirm your truck is a Raptor before ordering.

Can I buy and install this intercooler in California?

It depends on model year. COBB shows CARB EO numbers D-660-206 and D-660-291 for this part, giving it 50 state legal status when used per the application guide. COBB also notes the part is not yet for sale in California for 2026 model year trucks, pending approval.

Is an Accessport included with this part?

No. You receive the intercooler alone, so the Accessport V3 and any tune are separate purchases. COBB does pair this cooler with the Accessport in its Stage 2 Power Package for these trucks, and the larger core pays off most where higher boost would heat soak the stock unit.

How hard is the installation?

COBB does not publish a difficulty level for this part, but it is a direct swap for the factory front mount intercooler in the original location. It needs no cutting, trimming or permanent modification, so a careful home mechanic or any competent shop can fit it and reverse it later.

Should I choose the silver or the black version?

The choice is purely visual. The Silver Intercooler for Ford Bronco Raptor and Ranger Raptor trucks uses the same core, end tanks, fitment and CARB EO numbers as the black version, both under the 7R1550 base part number at one price. Silver shows raw aluminum through the grille.

Description

COBB Tuning Factory Location Silver Intercooler for Ford Bronco Raptor and Ranger Raptor

COBB Tuning’s Silver Intercooler for Ford Bronco Raptor and Ranger Raptor owners takes the place of the original front mount cooler and leaves the bare metal on show, with billet aluminum end tanks TIG welded to a core 53% larger by volume than Ford’s. That capacity targets the weak link in the 3.0L EcoBoost: a stock intercooler too small for sustained load, which saturates with heat and gives up power. COBB quotes a 23% gain in cooling efficiency. On a tuned Raptor that works hard in the dirt or on long grades, this is the hardware we would add first; for an untouched truck in mild use, expect steadier output rather than a new headline figure.

Construction and Installation

COBB engineered this cooler in house, using computational fluid dynamics to shape end tanks that spread flow evenly across the core, and a chamfered outlet eases charge air into the throttle body tube. Installing the Silver Intercooler for Ford Bronco Raptor and Ranger Raptor trucks follows the factory layout: the core seats closely against the OEM shutter shroud, keeping air routed through the ambient side fins, with no cutting, trimming or permanent modification.

Features

Core volume 53% greater than the stock intercooler
Cooling efficiency up 23% over stock, per COBB

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
