Does the Redline Power Package for GR/GV fit my car?

It fits USDM 2008 to 2014 manual Subaru WRX sedans and hatchbacks, the 2008 WRX automatic, the 2008 to 2014 WRX STI hatchback and the 2011 to 2014 STI sedan. COBB also lists the 2009 to 2010 Impreza 2.5 GT automatic.

Will the intake bolt onto my stock turbo inlet?

No. COBB states the Redline Carbon Fiber Intake currently requires the COBB Turbo Inlet and does not mate to the factory inlet, with a revised silicone coupler in development. The turbo inlet is not included, so buy it separately unless one is already fitted.

Is this package legal in California?

Yes. The package carries California Air Resources Board Executive Order D-660-354, so it is legal for sale and use on emissions controlled vehicles in all 50 states when installed according to the COBB application guide. Keep that EO number with the car for inspections.

How does the Redline Power Package for GR/GV get tuned?

The Redline Power Package for GR/GV includes Redline Off The Shelf maps that load through the Accessport V3, and COBB lists the intake as compatible with existing maps for the standard SF Intake. Later modifications can move to a custom tune through the same Accessport.

How difficult is the installation?

The intake is straightforward. COBB describes fitting the supplied brackets and dropping the airbox and scoop assembly in within a few minutes, assuming the COBB Turbo Inlet is already on the car. The Accessport then flashes the map, and later filter servicing is simple.

Description

COBB Tuning Stage 1+ Redline Power Package for GR/GV Subaru WRX / STI

COBB Tuning’s Redline Power Package for GR/GV cars pairs the Accessport V3 handheld tuner with the Redline Carbon Fiber Intake for 2008 to 2014 WRX and STI models, covered by CARB Executive Order D-660-354 for use in all 50 states. It suits an owner who wants a legal Stage 1+ setup and a carbon engine bay. Note that the intake needs the COBB Turbo Inlet, which is not included.

Design and Performance

In the Redline Power Package for GR/GV the Accessport V3 swaps conservative factory ECU settings for the Redline maps, then stays in the cabin as a gauge showing six live parameters. The intake draws through a pre-oiled conical filter 35 percent larger than the SF Intake element, and a CFD-designed velocity stack and straightener grid settle the air before the MAF sensor.

Construction

The airbox is multiple layers of hand-laid 2×2 twill carbon fiber under a gloss clear coat that resists heat and UV fade, so slight weave variances are normal. A black anodized billet adapter joins it to a one-piece composite MAF housing, and a removable fender-side billet plate adds airflow and induction sound.

Features

Accessport V3 with a larger, higher resolution full color screen
Interchangeable bezel colors and street, race or dyno gauge layouts
Faster flashing with more memory for saved maps and logs
Redline Off The Shelf maps included
Integrated carbon fiber scoop with bespoke black Redline badge

What’s Included

COBB Accessport V3 for Subaru (AP3-SUB-003)
COBB Redline Carbon Fiber Intake for GR/GV Subaru WRX and WRX STI (715170)

Notes

50-state legal with CARB EO D-660-354
The intake requires the COBB Turbo Inlet and is not compatible with the stock turbo inlet; the turbo inlet is sold separately and is not included
Running the intake with a front mount intercooler kit requires custom charge piping
The Accessport is compatible with USDM vehicles only
Installing the Accessport over anything other than OEM or COBB software may result in ECU or TCU failure

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
