What is in the TCM Package with Black FMIC?

The TCM Package with Black FMIC includes the Accessport V3 with TCM Flashing, the COBB Intake System with HCT, part 7F2125, the black front mount intercooler, part 7F2500-BK, and a COBB vehicle badge. Together these make up the complete COBB Stage 2 hardware list for the 2017-2019 F-150 with the 3.5L EcoBoost.

How does this differ from the no intake version?

This version adds the COBB intake, with dual 3 inch mandrel bent aluminum tubes, a sealed fiber reinforced airbox lid and a tapered-oval filter with 165% more surface area than stock. The no intake package keeps the factory airbox and carries a different CARB EO, D-660-32 rather than D-660-217.

Is this package legal in California?

Yes. COBB lists California Air Resources Board Executive Orders D-660-217 and D-660-245 for this package, which makes it legal for sale and use on emissions controlled vehicles in all 50 states, California included, provided it is installed according to the COBB application guide.

Will the intake make the truck louder?

Somewhat. COBB says the larger filter and freer flowing tubes produce more airflow and a more audible turbo sound when the engine builds boost at low RPM. The change is in induction noise under the hood; the exhaust note is unaffected because no exhaust parts are part of this package.

Can the Accessport adjust how the transmission shifts?

Yes. The TCM version of the Accessport V3 flashes the transmission control module as well as the engine computer. Its off-the-shelf transmission tunes change shift points, shift firmness, skip shift behavior and torque limits. COBB warns that flashing over software other than OEM or COBB files may cause ECU or TCU failure.

Description

COBB Tuning 3.5L Stage 2 TCM Package with Black FMIC and Intake for P552 Ford F-150 (2017-2019)

COBB Tuning’s TCM Package with Black FMIC is the full Stage 2 hardware set for the 2017-2019 F-150 3.5L EcoBoost: an Accessport V3 that flashes both the engine and transmission computers, the COBB intake with dual 3 inch mandrel bent aluminum tubes, and the black front mount intercooler with a 24 x 14 x 3.5 inch core. COBB lists CARB EO D-660-217 and D-660-245, so the truck stays legal in all 50 states. Buy this one if the truck is stock and you want every Stage 2 part at once; if an aftermarket intake is already fitted, the no intake version avoids paying twice.

Intake Design

The COBB intake replaces the factory piping from the airbox with dual 3 inch mandrel bent aluminum tubes and custom silicone couplers. An injection molded, fiber reinforced airbox lid with a closed-cell foam gasket keeps mud and debris away from the dual inlet, tapered-oval filter, which has 165% more surface area than stock and makes the turbos more audible as boost builds at low RPM.

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
