Which COBB parts make up the Power Package with Silver Intercooler?

Six items arrive in the Power Package with Silver Intercooler: the Focus RS Accessport V3, the silver COBB Front Mount Intercooler, part 793500-SL, the Hard Pipe Kit, part 793550, the Redline Carbon Fiber Intake System, part 793150, the Ford / Mazda Rear Motor Mount, part 891010, and a COBB Vehicle Badge, part 800200.

Can a California Focus RS run the Silver Stage 2 package?

Yes. The package is covered by CARB Executive Order D-660-185, so COBB lists it as legal for sale and use on emissions controlled vehicles in every state, California included, provided it is installed exactly as the COBB application guide directs.

What gains does COBB list for the Stage 2 calibration?

Against a 93 octane baseline, COBB recorded a 24.23 percent peak horsepower increase and a 20.02 percent peak torque increase with the Focus RS Stage 2 map on 93 octane fuel. Figures come from the COBB Focus RS Accessport documentation, and actual results depend on fuel, climate and the health of the car.

Will the bumper need trimming to fit the silver intercooler?

No. COBB says the front mount intercooler fits the Focus RS with no bumper trimming, cutting or fabrication. The single-piece aluminum hard pipes take the place of the factory plastic charge tubes, and 4-ply silicone couplers with heavy duty worm clamps complete the connections.

Is the Silver package different from the Black package apart from color?

No. The only change is the intercooler core finish: the Silver package uses the COBB Front Mount Intercooler in silver, part 793500-SL, and the Black package uses part 793500-BK. Every other part, the CARB EO number and the price are identical, so the choice comes down to appearance.

Description

COBB Tuning Stage 2 Power Package with Silver Intercooler for C346 Ford Focus RS

COBB Tuning’s Power Package with Silver Intercooler for C346 Ford Focus RS gathers the COBB Stage 2 components for the car into one order, with the intercooler core in a bright silver finish. Inside are the Focus RS Accessport V3 with Stage 2 maps, a 26 x 8.6 x 5 in bar and plate intercooler, 2.5 in hard pipes, the Redline carbon intake and the billet rear motor mount, all under CARB Executive Order D-660-185. Buy it for a properly sorted Stage 2 RS; for a flash alone, start with Stage 1.

Design and Performance

The stock Focus RS intercooler can be overwhelmed by heat soak. The larger silver core tested at up to 25 percent more efficient than stock while costing only about 0.3 to 0.5 psi of pressure drop, helped by a fin cast into the inlet endtank that distributes air evenly. With the weld-free charge pipes and carbon intake feeding it, the Power Package with Silver Intercooler gives the Stage 2 map the airflow it was calibrated around.

Features

Accessport V3 with Stage 2 Off-The-Shelf maps for these parts
Bar and plate intercooler core finished in silver, with cast endtanks wearing the COBB logo
Weld-free 2.5 in mandrel bent aluminum charge pipes in wrinkle black powder coat

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
