How is the Silver Intercooler TCM Power Package different from the standard silver package?

The Accessport is the difference. The Silver Intercooler TCM Power Package ships with the AP3-FOR-005-TCM, which adds transmission control module flashing and off-the-shelf tunes for shift points, shift firmness, skip shift behavior and torque limits. The standard silver package uses the AP3-FOR-005 and tunes the engine only.

Will the intercooler require grille trimming?

No. This intercooler bolts into the factory location and mates snugly to the OEM shutter shroud. COBB specifies no cutting, trimming or permanent modification to the vehicle. The larger COBB front mount intercooler is different and needs minor trimming on the back side of the grille.

Can water or methanol injection be added later?

Yes. COBB cast two flat sections into the intercooler for that purpose. The top flat can be drilled and tapped for an injection nozzle and the bottom flat can serve as a drain port. The injection system itself is a separate purchase and is not part of this package.

Is this package legal in all 50 states?

Yes. COBB lists California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers D-660-217 and D-660-245 for this package, making it legal for sale and use on emissions controlled vehicles in all 50 states when it is installed according to the COBB application guide.

Which model years are covered?

COBB confirms USDM Ford F-150 Raptor trucks from 2017 to 2020 and USDM F-150 Limited trucks from 2019 and 2020, both P552 models with the 3.5L EcoBoost. The P702 Raptor launched for 2021 does not appear on the confirmed applications list for this package.

Description

COBB Tuning Stage 2 Silver Intercooler TCM Power Package (Factory Location) for P552 Ford F-150 Raptor and Limited

COBB Tuning’s Silver Intercooler TCM Power Package gives the P552 Raptor or F-150 Limited a full Stage 2 hardware set and a transmission calibration in a single order. Inside are the AP3-FOR-005-TCM Accessport V3, the 7F2125 intake with dual 3 inch mandrel bent aluminum tubes, and the silver 7F1527-SL intercooler, which stays in the stock position behind the OEM shutter shroud. COBB holds CARB Executive Orders for the package, so it is street legal in every state. Choose it if factory shift behavior bothers you as much as intake temperature.

Shift Calibration

With the Silver Intercooler TCM Power Package, the Accessport writes to the transmission control module as well as the engine ECU. COBB supplies off-the-shelf transmission tunes covering shift points, shift firmness, skip shift behavior and torque limits, and the same handheld stores up to 100 maps and logs data for up to 10 hours.

Intercooler Construction

The cast aluminum, TIG welded intercooler has a core 70 percent greater than stock with 10 percent more cooling surface area. COBB refined the end tanks with computational fluid dynamics, chamfered the outlet port, and cast in two flats that can later take a water or methanol injection nozzle and a drain.

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
