Is the Stage 1 TCM Flex Fuel package legal in California?

No. COBB lists the Stage 1 TCM Flex Fuel package as not legal for sale or use in California on any emission controlled motor vehicle. Testing with the California Air Resources Board is pending, and outside California it is sold for on-street use under the EPA Anti-Tampering Policy.

Does this package fit the F-150 Limited?

No. The confirmed applications list only the USDM 2017 through 2020 Ford F-150 Raptor, because the CAN Flex Fuel Upgrade is listed for the Raptor. Limited owners can look at the Stage 1 or Stage 1 TCM packages without flex fuel, which do cover the 2019 and 2020 Limited.

What does the CAN Flex Fuel Upgrade actually do?

It measures the ethanol content of the fuel going to the engine and sends that reading to the ECU. An Accessport-delivered flex fuel calibration then uses the measured value, so the tune responds to the blend in the tank instead of assuming a fixed fuel. It needs that calibration loaded to work.

Why does this package include TCM flashing?

The included Accessport can flash the transmission control module as well as the engine computer. Its off-the-shelf tunes change shift points, shift firmness, skip shift behavior and torque limits, so the transmission matches the engine calibration without buying a TCM-capable Accessport later.

Can the truck be returned to stock?

Yes. The Accessport Uninstall option returns the computer to exactly the state it was in before flashing. The flex fuel hardware and the drop-in filter can then be removed and the factory filter reinstalled, so keep any original parts removed during installation.

Description

COBB Tuning Stage 1 TCM Flex Fuel Power Package for P552 Ford F-150 Raptor

COBB Tuning’s Stage 1 TCM Flex Fuel Power Package is the most complete Stage 1 setup COBB offers for the 2017-2020 P552 Raptor, bundling an Accessport V3 with TCM flashing, the COBB CAN Flex Fuel Upgrade and a Drop-In High Flow Filter. The flex fuel hardware measures ethanol content and passes that reading to the ECU through a CAN gateway, where an Accessport-delivered flex fuel calibration puts it to use. It makes the most sense for a Raptor owner with reliable access to ethanol blends who also wants transmission tuning. It is not for California, where COBB lists it as not legal on any emission controlled vehicle while CARB testing is pending, and it does not fit the F-150 Limited.

Features

COBB CAN Flex Fuel Upgrade measures ethanol content and reports it to the ECU

Dynamic Pedal Control sets throttle response from -5 to 10

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
