Why choose the Redline Silver Factory Intercooler Package over the front mount kit?

The Redline Silver Factory Intercooler Package keeps the cooler in the original location, so it needs no cutting, trimming or permanent modification and costs less than the front mount version. The front mount kit carries a larger 24 x 14 x 3.5 inch core but requires minor trimming behind the grille during installation.

Can I add water or methanol injection later?

Yes. COBB cast two flat sections into the intercooler for that purpose. The top flat can be drilled and tapped to mount an injection nozzle, and the bottom flat can serve as a drain port, so the cooler does not need replacing when the build moves on to water or methanol injection.

Is the package emissions legal?

Yes. COBB lists CARB Executive Orders D-660-217 and D-660-245, which allow the package to be sold and used on emissions controlled vehicles in all 50 states, including California, provided it is installed in line with the application guide published by COBB for these trucks.

What comes in the box?

Four COBB items ship together: the AP3-FOR-005 Accessport V3, the 7F3160 Redline Carbon Fiber Intake System, the 7F1527-SL silver factory location intercooler and a COBB vehicle badge. Flex fuel hardware and transmission flashing are not part of this kit, though COBB sells separate versions that add each.

Will the silver intercooler fit the Limited as well as the Raptor?

Yes. COBB confirms this package for the USDM F-150 Limited in 2019 and 2020 and the USDM F-150 Raptor from 2017 through 2020, all with the 3.5L EcoBoost. Trucks outside those years and trims, including the 2021 and later Raptor, need a different COBB kit.

Description

COBB Tuning Stage 2 Redline Silver Factory Intercooler Package for P552 Ford F-150 Raptor and Limited

COBB Tuning’s Redline Silver Factory Intercooler Package is the most direct route to Stage 2 on the 2017-2020 Raptor and 2019-2020 F-150 Limited, with a silver cast intercooler that drops into the original mounting position and a gloss carbon fiber intake. The 7F1527-SL cooler offers a core 70 percent larger than stock with 10 percent more cooling surface, and the engine-only Accessport V3 loads COBB maps to suit the hardware. Pick it when a stock-looking front end and a clean install matter; the front mount and TCM versions cost more and add grille trimming or transmission tuning respectively.

Construction

COBB designed the silver cooler in this Redline Silver Factory Intercooler Package in house, using computational fluid dynamics to shape end tanks without significant turbulence and a large chamfer at the outlet. Two flat sections in the casting can be drilled and tapped for a water or methanol injection nozzle and a drain, while the intake rides on black 4-ply silicone couplers.

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
