What comes in the Silver Intercooler and TCM Package?

The Silver Intercooler and TCM Package contains the AP3-FOR-005-TCM Accessport V3 with TCM flashing, the silver 7F1527-SL factory location intercooler, a COBB vehicle badge and a CARB EO sticker. No intake is included, so the truck keeps its existing intake unless the COBB 7F2125 is purchased separately.

What can the transmission tunes adjust?

The off-the-shelf transmission tunes on the Accessport adjust shift points, shift firmness, skip shift behavior and torque limits. They are written to the transmission control module, the unit that controls the transmission, so the gearbox can be set up to match a preferred driving style alongside the engine tune.

Is it legal to run in California?

Yes. COBB lists California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers D-660-32 and D-660-245 for this package and includes a CARB EO sticker. It is legal for sale and use on emissions controlled vehicles in all 50 states when installed according to the COBB application guide.

Does installing the intercooler require trimming?

No. The intercooler stays in the factory location and mates snugly to the OEM shutter shroud. COBB specifies no cutting, trimming or permanent modification to the vehicle. Only the larger COBB front mount intercooler, sold in other Stage 2 packages, needs minor trimming on the back side of the grille.

Which trucks are confirmed?

COBB confirms USDM Ford F-150 Raptor trucks from 2017 to 2020 and USDM F-150 Limited trucks from 2019 and 2020, both P552 models with the 3.5L EcoBoost. The P702 Raptor that arrived for 2021 does not appear on the confirmed applications list for this package.

Description

COBB Tuning Stage 2 Silver Intercooler and TCM Package (Factory Location, No Intake) for P552 Ford F-150 Raptor and Limited

COBB Tuning’s Silver Intercooler and TCM Package combines two upgrades for the P552 Raptor and F-150 Limited: cooler charge air from a factory location intercooler and recalibrated shifting from an Accessport V3 that flashes the transmission control module. Leaving the intake out suits a truck already fitted with the COBB 7F2125 or an owner keeping the stock airbox. The silver 7F1527-SL is cast aluminum and TIG welded, and COBB holds CARB EO numbers D-660-32 and D-660-245 for the package, so it stays legal in all 50 states.

Transmission and Engine Tuning

The AP3-FOR-005-TCM supplied with the Silver Intercooler and TCM Package loads off-the-shelf transmission tunes that adjust shift points, shift firmness, skip shift behavior and torque limits, and it flashes engine maps from the same device. Dynamic Pedal Control runs from -5 to 10; each step below zero cuts pedal response by 20 percent and each step above adds 10 percent.

Intercooler

The core is 70 percent greater than the stock unit with 10 percent more cooling surface area, and it fits the OEM shutter shroud with no cutting or trimming. Flats cast into the housing can be drilled and tapped later for a water or methanol nozzle and a drain.

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. Please review the full Terms & Conditions here.

BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
