Is the No Intake Factory Intercooler Package legal in California?

Yes. The No Intake Factory Intercooler Package is listed by COBB under California Air Resources Board Executive Orders D-660-32 and D-660-245, which makes it legal for sale and use on emissions controlled vehicles in all 50 states when installed according to the COBB application guide.

What does No Intake mean for this package?

It means COBB leaves the intake system out. The truck keeps its factory airbox and tubing, and the package supplies only the Accessport V3, the black factory location intercooler, the vehicle badge and the CARB sticker. The full Stage 2 package adds the COBB Intake System w/ HCT with dual 3 inch mandrel bent aluminum tubes.

Do I need to cut the grille or bumper to install it?

No. The intercooler mounts in the factory location and mates snugly to the OEM shutter shroud, so no cutting, trimming or permanent modification of the truck is required. The COBB front mount intercooler, by contrast, needs minor trimming on the back of the grille.

Does it fit the 2021 and newer Raptor?

No. COBB confirms this package for USDM 2017 through 2020 F-150 Raptor trucks and 2019 through 2020 F-150 Limited trucks only, all from the P552 generation. The P702 Raptor that arrived for 2021 uses a different Accessport and is not on the confirmed application list for this package.

Can the truck be returned to stock later?

Yes. The Accessport Uninstall option, found in the main menu, reverts the ECU to exactly how it was before flashing. The intercooler fits without permanent modification, so keeping the original part lets an owner reverse the hardware change before a sale.

Description

COBB Tuning Stage 2 No Intake Factory Intercooler Package in Black for P552 Ford F-150 Raptor and Limited

COBB Tuning’s No Intake Factory Intercooler Package pairs the Accessport V3 with the black 7F1527-BK cast aluminum intercooler, aimed at the owner of a 2017-2020 F-150 Raptor or 2019-2020 F-150 Limited who would rather keep the factory airbox and intake tubing. It is covered by CARB EO D-660-32 and D-660-245 for street use in all 50 states. The intercooler sits in the original location against the OEM shutter shroud, so the grille is never touched; choose the front mount version only if you want its larger core and accept some trimming.

Intercooler Design

The intercooler in the No Intake Factory Intercooler Package was designed in house by COBB, with computational fluid dynamics used to shape end tanks that spread flow evenly without significant turbulence. A large chamfer on the outlet port eases the charge into the throttle body tube. The cast aluminum, TIG welded assembly offers a core 70 percent greater than stock and 10 percent more cooling surface area, and two flat sections in the casting can be drilled and tapped for a water or methanol injection nozzle and a drain.

Features

Black cast aluminum intercooler, TIG welded, for the factory mounting location
Accessport V3 with a full color, higher resolution screen and selectable bezel colors
Stores up to 100 maps and records up to 10 hours of datalogs
Auto Start-Stop, Dynamic Pedal Control and Valet Mode adjustments on the Raptor

About COBB Tuning

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. In 2004 COBB introduced the Accessport, a handheld ECU tuning device that flashes COBB’s off-the-shelf maps or a custom tune and doubles as a real-time gauge and datalogger. The range has since grown from Subaru to Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Toyota platforms, with intakes, intercoolers, exhausts and flex fuel kits engineered alongside the tuning, and many COBB parts carry California Air Resources Board Executive Order numbers for use in all 50 states.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
