COBB Tuning’s Non-Hybrid Accessport V3 for N500 Toyota 4Runner is written for the gas i-FORCE trucks of 2025 and 2026, and it does two jobs on that platform: it reflashes the engine computer with COBB Off The Shelf maps, and it rewrites the shift behavior of the automatic through the TCM. Stage 1 comes in 87, 91 and 93 octane versions, with a Performance Tow map beside them for owners who haul campers or boats. CARB EO D-660-277 keeps it road legal everywhere in the US. If your 4Runner wears i-FORCE MAX badges, look elsewhere, because COBB builds a separate hybrid Accessport.

Shift Calibrations

Three TCM files ship on the Non-Hybrid Accessport V3 for N500. Simulated Stock is the factory transmission calibration from the shared Tacoma and 4Runner platform, useful as a baseline. COBB OEM+ is the refined choice, with moderately higher shift points, more responsive downshift schedules and a modest increase in mid-throttle requested torque. COBB Sport takes a performance-first approach, holding gears longer and asking for more torque at part throttle. Either COBB map also raises transmission torque limits.

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days.
