COBB Tuning’s Hybrid Accessport V3 for N500 Toyota 4Runner i-FORCE MAX models gives the new hybrid 4Runner engine maps and transmission maps in the same unit, under CARB EO D-660-346, which keeps it legal on emissions-controlled vehicles in every state. It suits the owner who commutes in the 4Runner and tows on weekends, since a Performance map and a Tow map can sit on the device together. Mild builds run well on the Off The Shelf maps; heavier modification calls for a custom map from a COBB tuner.

Shift Calibrations

This Accessport also writes to the transmission control module. COBB offers Simulated Stock, a factory Tacoma or 4Runner transmission calibration kept as a reference point. OEM+ is the refined option, with moderately higher shift points, livelier downshifts, modest extra mid-throttle torque request and raised torque limits. Sport is the performance-first map and applies each of those changes more aggressively.

COBB Tuning was founded by Trey Cobb in 1999 in Rockwall, Texas, as a Subaru performance shop in the back of his father’s tire shop, and is now headquartered in Austin, Texas. Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule.
