Moton’s 1-Way Coilovers for EVO 8 / EVO 7 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution fit the CT9A EVO 7 and EVO 8 with non-inverted monotube dampers that adjust for rebound and ride height and arrive with springs. The CT9A EVO 7 and EVO 8 run the 4G63 turbo four and full-time all-wheel drive, and MOTON lists one 1-way set for both. Compression is left to MOTON’s fixed valving, so the one choice at the car is how quickly each corner of the EVO 7 or EVO 8 settles after a bump.

Design and Performance

Rebound sets how quickly each damper extends after compressing, which decides how the EVO 7 or EVO 8 settles after crests and kerbs. The 1-Way gives one adjuster per corner for exactly that and leaves compression to MOTON’s valving, the right amount of adjustment for a road car with occasional track days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer.
