Active Autowerke’s GESI Catted X-Pipe for E90 / E92 / E93 BMW M3 is the Miami company’s Signature X-pipe built around a pair of 4 inch GESI G-Sport HO-Series Gen 2 converters, one in each connecting pipe. Bolted in place of the BMW X-pipe on the 4.0 liter S65, it recorded more than 10 wheel horsepower over the stock exhaust on Active Autowerke’s own chassis dyno. The GESI and AFlow versions share the same pipework and the same 300 to 500 horsepower rating per converter, so the extra cost here buys GESI’s catalyst rather than more capacity. Buy it for that converter; otherwise the AFlow Catted X-Pipe does the job for less.

Construction

The assembly is brushed 304 stainless, TIG welded, with a crossover shaped to scavenge exhaust between the two banks. Each GESI converter uses a 304 stainless substrate furnace brazed to its mantle and a 400 cell per square inch catalyst, and factory-style flanges at each end mean no cutting or welding.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer.
