Does the Rear Diffuser for VB need cutting or drilling?

No. Verus Engineering designed the Rear Diffuser for VB as a simple, non-invasive bolt-on that needs no permanent modifications to the car while keeping significant strength. It locates with its own set of front, back and side brackets and the supplied hardware, and Verus publishes an install manual and an install video.

How does a rear diffuser help a VB WRX?

It creates a low-pressure zone beneath the rear of the car, which reduces lift and drag together and improves the lift-to-drag ratio. Strakes on the Verus Engineering diffuser create vortices that keep the airflow attached to its surface, adding to the effect, and Verus has published a video explaining how rear diffusers work.

Should I fit dive planes with the VB diffuser?

Yes, to keep the car balanced as Verus Engineering designed it. The dive planes add front downforce to offset the low pressure the diffuser creates at the rear, and Verus sells the two together as its Ventus 1 kit for the VB WRX. The Verus dive plane kit is a separate purchase from this diffuser.

Has the Verus diffuser been proven on track?

Yes. Verus Engineering reports that on track the diffuser increased its straight-line and corner speeds and reduced lap times. Those results come from Verus testing and will vary with the car, tires and driver, but they show the part works as a functional aero device and not as decoration.

What comes in the Verus VB diffuser kit?

The kit contains the rear diffuser, two front brackets, three flat back brackets, two side brackets, two side strakes and a hardware kit with every component needed to install it. Verus Engineering designed the parts from in-house scan data of the VB for a near-OEM fit and supplies an informative packet with the install manual.

Description

Verus Engineering Rear Diffuser for VB Subaru WRX

Verus Engineering’s Rear Diffuser for VB Subaru WRX bolts beneath the rear bumper of the 2022 and later WRX with no permanent modifications, yet keeps significant strength once mounted. It lowers both lift and drag by building a low-pressure zone at the rear, and strakes along its surface generate vortices that keep the airflow attached. On track it raised the straight-line and corner speeds Verus recorded and lowered its lap times, so this is a functional aero part for a WRX that sees circuits, with the clean look as a bonus.

Ventus 1 and Beyond

Verus pairs the diffuser with its VB dive planes, which add front downforce to offset the rear, to form the Ventus 1 kit. Owners who want more downforce can step up: Ventus 2 brings in the front splitter, and Ventus 3 the UCW rear wing.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
