Does the Front Splitter Diffuser Tunnel Kit include a splitter?

No. The Front Splitter Diffuser Tunnel Kit contains a left and a right carbon diffuser tunnel plus a hardware kit, and it bolts to a front splitter you already run or buy separately. Verus Engineering gave each tunnel a large flange so it can attach to a splitter of your choice, which is why the kit is sold as universal fit.

How do the CZF tunnels mount to a splitter?

Each tunnel has a large flange designed for easy bolting to a splitter of your choice, and the kit supplies stainless hardware. Because the kit is universal, the owner or installer chooses the position and drills the blade to match, checking clearance to the front tires at full lock first.

Do splitter tunnels add downforce on their own?

No. Verus Engineering developed the tunnels to produce large amounts of front-end downforce when paired with a well-designed and well-placed front splitter. They speed up the airflow under the blade, and that faster, lower-pressure air pulls the splitter toward the ground, so the gain depends on the splitter they are bolted to.

What are the CZF tunnels made from?

Both tunnels are 2x2 twill pre-preg carbon fiber with a matte clear coat finish, and the hardware is stainless throughout. Verus Engineering shaped them through repeated CFD analysis and design iterations, giving them a large mounting flange for attachment and a curved trailing edge for clearance to the tires.

Will the Front Splitter Diffuser Tunnel Kit lower my lap times?

Yes, according to Verus Engineering, which lists reduced lap times among the benefits with lower front lift and better aerodynamic efficiency. The gain depends on the car, the splitter the Front Splitter Diffuser Tunnel Kit is bolted to and the rest of the aero package, since added front grip needs matching rear downforce.

Description

Verus Engineering CZF Front Splitter Diffuser Tunnel Kit, Universal Fit

Verus Engineering’s CZF Front Splitter Diffuser Tunnel Kit, Universal Fit exists for one job, making large amounts of efficient front downforce, and it does so by speeding up the air beneath a front splitter. The left and right tunnels are 2×2 pre-preg carbon fiber in a matte clear coat, with a wide flange that bolts to the splitter of your choice and a curved trailing edge that keeps clearance to the front tires. They reward an owner who already runs a well-designed, well-placed splitter; Verus ties the downforce to that pairing, so the tunnels will not rescue a poor blade.

How Splitter Tunnels Work

Air moving under the splitter is what drives its downforce. The tunnels accelerate that flow, and the faster, lower-pressure air beneath the blade pulls the splitter toward the track surface, adding front-end grip. Verus developed the shape through several rounds of CFD analysis and iteration, drawing on its past splitter work.

Features

Reduces front lift and adds downforce
Improves overall aerodynamic efficiency
Wide mounting flange for bolting to a splitter of your choice
Curved trailing edge for tire clearance
2×2 twill pre-preg carbon in a matte clear coat
Stainless hardware throughout

What’s Included

Left carbon front diffuser tunnel
Right carbon front diffuser tunnel
Hardware kit

Applications

Fits: universal, the flanges bolt to the underside of a front splitter of your choice

Notes

No splitter is included; the tunnels bolt to a front splitter you supply
Position on the blade is set by the owner or installer, so expect to drill the splitter to bolt the flanges in place
The Front Splitter Diffuser Tunnel Kit works best with a well-designed and well-placed splitter, according to Verus
Check tire clearance at full lock and full suspension compression before final fitting

About Verus Engineering

Verus Engineering designs aerodynamic and performance parts in Indianapolis, Indiana. Two engineers founded it in late 2014 as Velox Motorsports and renamed it in 2017 after a trademark dispute; verus is Latin for true or complete. Each design starts from a 3D scan of the car, is developed with CFD and finite element analysis and is validated on track, across more than 20 platforms from the GR86 to the C8 Corvette.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
