Is this Dive Plane Kit for C8 Z06 a different part from the Stingray kit?

Yes. Verus Engineering sells this Dive Plane Kit for C8 Z06 as its own part, separate from the Stingray kit, and lists each for its own model, so order this version for a Z06. It was drawn in CAD from in-house scan data and optimized in CFD.

Is there a matching rear diffuser for the Z06?

No, not yet. Verus Engineering lists its rear diffuser for the C8 Z06 as coming soon. When it arrives, the dive planes provide enough front downforce to balance it in the Ventus 1 package, which Verus designed to remain usable on the street. Until then, the dive planes add front grip on their own.

How do the dive planes install on the Z06?

Each of the four elements bonds to the front bumper with 3M VHB double-sided tape that Verus Engineering cuts to its exact size, so the install is simple and non-invasive with no drilling. A precision-fit template positions the planes accurately before the tape goes down.

What do dual element dive planes do?

The upper and lower elements on each side work in unison to form a vortex that helps evacuate the front fenders. That lowers lift on the body and adds some front downforce, and the planes shift the aero balance forward to help a car carrying a large rear wing or diffuser.

Are the Z06 dive planes made the same way as other Verus canards?

Yes. The Z06 dive planes are pre-preg 2x2 twill carbon fiber, autoclave cured and polished to a high gloss, the construction Verus Engineering also uses for its Stingray kit. Verus shaped them with CFD analysis to raise front downforce while keeping the drag increase minimal.

Description

Verus Engineering Dual Element Dive Plane Kit for C8 Chevrolet Corvette Z06

Verus Engineering’s Dual Element Dive Plane Kit for C8 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 gives the Z06, with its flat-plane engine, a front aero tune that tapes on: two carbon elements per corner, drawn from Verus scan data of the car. They add front downforce and draw air out of the wheel wells while CFD optimization holds the drag penalty down. Verus pitches the kit as a first step in aero tuning for a Z06 owner, and as the front half of its Ventus 1 package once its Z06 rear diffuser, listed as coming soon, arrives.

Design and Performance

Working as a pair on each side, the planes set up a vortex that helps clear air from the front fenders, lowering lift on the body and adding a measure of front downforce. They shift the balance forward without a longer splitter, which Verus avoided to keep the car usable on the street.

Features

Polished high-gloss carbon, laid up from 2×2 twill pre-preg and autoclave cured
CFD-optimized for front downforce at minimal added drag
Moves aero balance toward the front axle for more front grip
Precision-fit install template included

What’s Included

Dive planes, top (L/R)
Dive planes, bottom (L/R)
Install template
3M VHB tape, one pre-cut piece per dive plane (x4)

Applications

Chevrolet Corvette Z06: C8 | 2023-present

Notes

The Z06 kit is four dive planes, an upper and lower pair on each side
The Dive Plane Kit for C8 Z06 is a separate part from the Dual Element Dive Plane Kit for the Stingray, which is not listed for the Z06

About Verus Engineering

Verus Engineering designs aerodynamic and performance parts in Indianapolis, Indiana. Two engineers founded it in late 2014 as Velox Motorsports and renamed it in 2017 after a trademark dispute; verus is Latin for true or complete. Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
