How does the CO2 Parachute Release Kit work?

The T1 CO2 Parachute Release Kit uses a Motion Raceworks CO2 activated release lever and cable kit with a single CO2 kit. The handle triggers the CO2, which releases the chute, and it can be actuated in several ways so the driver can keep both hands on the wheel.

Will it fit my roll cage?

The T1 release handle mount fits the commonly used Titan roll bar and also works with a number of other roll cages and bars. Bulletproof Automotive can confirm fitment for a specific cage before the order is placed, including the handle position.

Can it release two parachutes?

Yes. The standard kit is set up for a single parachute release, and a dual chute version is available for an additional 50 dollars. Choose the version that matches the parachute setup on the car, and Bulletproof Automotive can confirm the parts list for dual chutes.

Does it come with CO2?

No. The CO2 tank is shipped unfilled for transport and can easily be filled locally before installation. Remember that the CO2 supply to the chutes is shut off for repacking and must be armed again before each pass. The race C127 harness can warn the driver if it is not.

How is the solenoid plumbed?

T1 Race Development lists the solenoid ports as follows: the right port is the bottle pressure line, the left side goes to the handle and the center port is a vent. Bulletproof Automotive can help with installation and testing before the first pass.

Description

T1 Race Development GT1R CO2 Parachute Release Kit for R35 Nissan GT-R

T1 Race Development’s GT1R CO2 Parachute Release Kit for R35 Nissan GT-R lets the driver release the parachute without taking a hand off the wheel. The CO2 release handle can be actuated in several ways, and the kit combines T1’s release handle mount with the Motion Raceworks billet CO2 activated release lever and cable kit and a Motion Raceworks single CO2 kit.

Design and Performance

A manual release asks the driver to reach and pull at the end of the run, which is exactly when both hands should be on the wheel. With CO2 actuation, the handle triggers the CO2 to release the chute instead. The T1 handle mount fits the commonly used Titan roll bar and works with a number of other roll cages and bars.

Choosing a Version

The standard kit is set up for one parachute release; a dual chute version is available. The CO2 tank ships unfilled and can easily be filled locally. For plumbing, the right port of the solenoid is the bottle pressure line, the left side goes to the handle and the center port is a vent.

About T1 Race Development

T1 Race Development was founded in Texas in 2005 by Tony Palo, whose 2000 Acura Integra GSR became the first eight-second front-wheel-drive street car before the shop turned its attention to the Nissan GT-R. T1 went on to become the first to exceed 230 mph in the half mile in a GT-R and the first to make 2,400 whp from the VR38DETT, and it now develops engines, drivetrain parts and complete builds for the R35 GT-R, Lamborghini Huracan and Audi R8.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
