Nitron’s F355 NTR-R3 coilover kit with standalone FAL adds a front-end lift to the same independent high and low speed compression and rebound adjustment from the base NTR-R3 kit. Hose-mounted reservoirs front and rear give control over both ends of the damping curve rather than a single combined setting, while the rear suspension type stays OEM, so the geometry the F355 was built with is preserved. The Standalone FAL raises the front axle 25mm at the shock, enough to clear driveways, speed bumps, and parking obstacles without touching the suspension setup or changing how the car drives once it’s back down. Every Nitron kit includes adjustable top mounts and race springs, and it’s custom built and fully serviceable.

The Nitron Front Axle Lift (FAL)

An F355’s low nose wasn’t designed with modern driveway aprons in mind, and most owners running one at factory ride height have learned an approach angle just to avoid a scrape. The Standalone FAL built into this Nitron kit removes that guesswork, raising the front axle 25mm at the shock whenever it’s needed and dropping back to the set ride height once the car’s clear. Nothing about the damping setup changes when it’s engaged or when it’s not, it’s there for the obstacle and then it’s out of the way.

Specialized Bi-Axis Hose Fittings

Nitron builds every R3 Hose shock around its own 720-degree bi-axis fitting, and it’s the only fitting used across that line, not a manufacturer’s off-the-shelf spherical rod end pressed into service. Conventional end fittings bind up at extreme steering or suspension angles, which is exactly where a lowered, stiffened F355 starts fighting its own hose routing through a tight engine bay and transaxle. The bi-axis design rotates freely at both connection points, so the hose finds its own line under compression and rebound instead of kinking or twisting against a fixed fitting.

Bespoke Engineering

Nitron’s NTR-R3 application is developed specifically for this chassis unequal-length double wishbone geometry at all four corners, accounting for the weight of a longitudinally mounted V8 sitting ahead of the transaxle rather than assuming it behaves like a Testarossa or 512 TR. Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance.
