The R34 GT-R elec-TRON R1 coilover kit with Standalone FAL solves a problem that comes standard with owning a lowered R34, a front lip that’s one steep driveway away from a scrape, without giving up the electronic damping control that makes the rest of the kit worth having. Nitron’s proportional solenoid valve, fitted to each shock, hands control over to the included DCU, which reads what the car is doing at every corner and adjusts compression and rebound in real time rather than sitting on a fixed setting. Because the R34 never came with a factory electronic damping system, this kit runs Nitron’s Standalone configuration, with the DCU included as part of the package rather than sold separately. The hardware traces back to Nitron’s R3 race platform, delivering the same broad adjustment range without asking the driver to set anything manually. This kit runs Nitron’s Standalone Electronic Damping configuration, and the DCU needed to operate it ships included rather than as a separate purchase. Each shock carries its own proprietary proportional solenoid valve, giving the DCU independent control over damping at every corner of the R34 at the same time. The system reads g-load, vehicle speed, road surface, and driver input simultaneously, adjusting damping every six milliseconds, well inside the 100 to 150 milliseconds it takes a human eye to finish a single blink.

What separates this setup from a passive damper is the DCU running behind it. It reads the forces acting on the car under braking, cornering, and acceleration and repositions each elec-TRON valve accordingly, recalculating all four corners roughly every 5 milliseconds rather than settling on one damping rate for the whole drive. A control knob gives the driver access to four pre-installed maps, Rain, Tour, Sport, and Race, so the overall character is still a choice the driver makes, even while the moment-to-moment adjustment keeps happening automatically underneath it.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse.
