Do the Sport Cats for V37 Infiniti Q50 also fit the Q60?

Yes. HKS registers the Sport Cats for V37 Infiniti Q50 for the CV37 Q60 as well, on every model with the VR30DDTT 3.0 liter twin turbo engine from the 2017 model year. One part number covers both the sedan and the coupe, so there is no separate Q60 version to choose.

Does the HKS front pipe keep catalysts?

Yes. Each of the two stainless pipes carries a 100-cell catalyst, so the system keeps a catalyst on each bank. HKS pairs those catalysts with 60mm pipe in place of the 45mm factory pipe, and the combination measured about half the factory back pressure on the HKS flow bench.

How much back pressure do the Sport Cats for V37 Infiniti Q50 remove?

HKS measured about 50 percent less back pressure than the factory front pipes on a flow bench. At 150 liters per second the factory pipes read about 100mmHg and the HKS pipes about 50mmHg. HKS has not published a horsepower result, so expect the gain to depend on the tune.

Will this front pipe fit the RZ34 Nissan Z?

HKS does not list part 33006-KN001 for the RZ34 Nissan Z, even though the Z uses the same VR30DDTT engine. HKS registers it for the Q50 and Q60 only, so Z owners should contact Bulletproof Automotive before ordering rather than assume the shared engine means a shared fit.

Does the front pipe reduce ground clearance?

No. HKS states that the minimum ground clearance does not change after installation. The pipes reuse the factory flange nuts at the turbo outlets and take the factory O2 sensors, as the HKS installation diagram shows, so no new sensors are needed.

Description

HKS Stainless Front Pipe with Sport Cats for V37 Infiniti Q50 and CV37 Q60

HKS’s Stainless Front Pipe with Sport Cats for V37 Infiniti Q50 and CV37 Q60 replaces the 45mm factory front pipes behind the VR30DDTT twin turbochargers with a pair of 60mm SUS304 stainless pipes, each carrying its own 100-cell catalyst. With the turbine outlets now feeding 60mm pipe on both banks, HKS measured about half the back pressure of the factory system on its flow bench, and it expects a clear gain in output. It suits an owner who already runs a tune and a freer cat-back and wants more flow with catalysts kept in place; on an untouched car it is ahead of the rest of the system.

Development and Testing

HKS tested the front pipe against the factory parts on a flow bench. At 150 liters per second (about 318cfm) the factory pipes showed about 100mmHg (1.9psi) of pressure, while the HKS pipes showed about 50mmHg (1.0psi). At 200 liters per second the HKS pipes read about 90mmHg (1.7psi). HKS also tuned the sound with the silencer so the VR30DDTT stays clean at high rpm without cracking.

Features

60mm pipe on both banks, up from the 45mm factory size, so the whole path from each turbine runs at 60mm
A 100-cell catalyst on each side, carried in the pipe itself
About 50% less back pressure in comparison to factory equipment on the HKS flow bench
Sound tuned by HKS to stay clean at high rpm

Notes

HKS registers part 33006-KN001 for the VR30DDTT Q50 and Q60 from the 2017 model year; earlier cars are not listed
The back pressure figures come from an HKS flow bench test of the pipes, not from a dyno run on a car, and HKS publishes no power figure
For the rest of the exhaust, the HKS LEGAMAX Sports Exhaust for RV37 Infiniti Q50 is sold separately

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
