Moshammer Front Spoiler for 992.1 Porsche 911 Carrera

Moshammer Front Spoiler sharpens the 992 Carrera’s nose without arguing with it. Developed in Berlin specifically for the factory front bumper, it picks up the existing body lines and adds pronounced side wings that widen the car’s stance from the angles you actually see it from. The benefit is not only visual, because Moshammer shaped it to improve aerodynamic performance at the front axle and to sharpen the car’s overall balance. It is delivered in satin black with mounting material and carries a TUV parts certificate (§19.3). Choose the version that matches your bumper, standard or Sport Design and GTS, and the result is a clean OEM+ upgrade with precise fitment rather than a styling experiment.

Design Language

The 992 is one of the better resolved 911s, so the temptation to redraw its face is best resisted. Moshammer’s front spoiler maintains the original Porsche design language while giving the car a sharper and more distinctive front end, with pronounced side wings that read as width rather than as addenda. Seen from the front it lowers the visual centre of the car; seen in profile it barely announces itself at all.

Aerodynamic Balance

Because the profile was developed for the factory bumper rather than adapted to it, the airflow work is coherent. Moshammer designed it to improve aerodynamic performance at the front axle and to enhance the overall balance of the car, which is what separates a functional lip from a cosmetic one. The gains are felt as composure at speed rather than as a number on a spec sheet.

Bumper Specific Versions

Two versions exist because the 992 wears two very different noses. P992.40.1022 is drawn for the standard front bumper, and P992.40.1020 for the Sport Design and GTS bumper, so a Carrera T, S, 4S or GTS is covered as long as you order the matching part. Both arrive in satin black with mounting material, and both carry a TUV parts certificate (§19.3).

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know which version I need? Look at your front bumper rather than the model name. Cars with the standard bumper take P992.40.1022, and cars with the Sport Design or GTS bumper take P992.40.1020. If you are unsure, contact us with photos of the nose.
Does it fit a Cabriolet or Targa? Yes. Moshammer lists Coupe, Cabriolet and Targa 992 Carrera cars, since the front bumper is the deciding factor and the roof arrangement is irrelevant to the part.
Is this a cosmetic lip or does it do aerodynamic work? Both. Moshammer developed it to improve aerodynamic performance at the front axle and the balance of the car, while giving the nose a sharper appearance that still reads as factory.
What finish does it arrive in? Satin black, with mounting material included. Many owners run it as delivered for contrast against lighter body colors, while others have it painted to match.
Will it work on a car with the Aero Kit front lip? No. Moshammer states it is not suitable for vehicles fitted with the Aero Kit front lip, as the bumper geometry differs.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do.
