Moshammer Tradition RS Aero Kit was drawn for the first generation 997 Carrera, a car whose narrow body proportions and hydraulic honesty are now the reason people buy it instead of something newer. The 997.1 was the generation that brought the round headlights back, and Moshammer’s package respects that act of restoration. Read as a whole it looks like a period correct factory option, which is a harder trick than looking loud.

Airflow and Balance

Moshammer’s claim for the set is optimal aerodynamic properties, delivered by pieces that work in sequence rather than in isolation. The front spoiler takes the air first, the skirts keep it close to the flanks, and the diffuser and ducktail settle the car at the rear where a 911 is most sensitive. There is nothing electronic, nothing adjustable and nothing that needs servicing, which is entirely in keeping with the appeal of an early 997.

Installation and Fitting

The kit is supplied unpainted with the mounting material, and it fits using the original screw points with a special adhesive where the design requires. Nothing is drilled into the shell, which matters on a car whose value increasingly depends on originality being recoverable. A TUV parts certificate (§19.3) accompanies the set, so the aerodynamic work is documented as approved rather than assumed.

For 997.1 Carrera models with standard bumpers and a narrow body. Cars with the original Aerokit or with Turbo, GT2 or GT3 bumpers are not covered.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this kit fit a Carrera 4 or 4S? No. Those cars use the wide body shell and need the wide body version of the Tradition RS kit, which has different side skirts. This set is for the narrow body rear wheel drive cars.
Is the ducktail the same one used on the later 997.2 kit? Moshammer uses the same ducktail part across both 997 generations, while the front spoiler and rear diffuser are specified per generation. That is why the kits are listed separately by chassis.
Can I order the ducktail or diffuser on its own? This listing is the complete four piece set, priced as a kit, and that is how Moshammer developed the aerodynamics to work. Individual components carry their own part numbers, so if you already own part of the package we can usually quote the missing pieces separately.
Do I have to paint the parts before installation? Yes. Moshammer ships them unpainted so the colour can be matched to your car precisely, and paint is normally done before the panels are fitted.
What is the TUV parts certificate for? It is the German documentation, issued as a TUV parts certificate (§19.3), recording the components as tested and approved for road use, and it travels with the kit.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest.
