Design and Performance

The new QS Sound Architect® remote valve control system gives you full command of the sound. Our push-button fob can be mounted within the vehicle or used outside the vehicle if desired. Its binary functionality offers two distinct sounds to suit your environment. Our default ‘Sport’ mode offers the full experience with a deeper robust note and utilises the optimum flow of the exiting exhaust gases. With our ‘Refined’ mode, our exhaust harnesses the tone, offering a more civilised note when, and if it’s required. Even better is that like our exhausts, this is a simple install. Just feed the valve cables through the spare wheel well to the rear section, plug the power cable into the 12v in the boot, and you’re away! This style of valve control’s been requested a lot in the past, and we’re excited to finally offer this – the perfect sound is now just a button press away. Our Sport system for the 2019 on Range Rover Sport 5.0 V8 Supercharged, offers the driver a definitive sound track with full active valve control. The Euro-spec models in particular have petrol particulate filters which rob the vehicle of its potential soundtrack. We have analysed the sound of the vehicle and determined which elements should be suppressed and which enhanced. Our system comprises of 3 key ingredients: smaller rear sections with dual valves and redesigned internals, a non-resonated free flowing Y-Pipe and our ‘Sound Architect’ module for full valve control. The culmination is a robust V6 tone which pops and burbles nicely on the over run in Sport mode and a refined tone in Standard mode for daily driving. The overall result is a massive improvement with the autonomy to control the valves without interference from the vehicle for two distinct driving experiences. Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates.
