The Sport Side Mufflers for 997.1 Porsche are designed around drone-fighting, proprietary mufflers that maintain a premium driving experience while outperforming a standard muffler by emphasizing the tone of the flat-six engine. The design increases volume and mechanical tone under moderate to aggressive throttle while maintaining a refined, OEM+ cabin presence during cruising. It is easy to increase the volume of the 997.1 Carrera, but a challenge to go aggressive on the mods without ending up with a raspy, loud result that can be too much for a discerning enthusiast. These mufflers were developed around high-flow catalytic converters to land on the perfect gentlemen’s system in terms of aggressiveness, ideal for daily use without being overbearing. Ample sound-attenuating material inside the mufflers boosts sporty exhaust tone without inducing drone or negative notes like rasp.

Construction

Each system is made in-house by SOUL’s fabrication team from mandrel-bent .065in wall, 2.25in diameter T304L stainless steel tubing, bespoke SOUL mufflers, and laser-cut brackets. Back-purged TIG welding with ARCAL Prime argon gas ensures proper weld penetration and longevity, critical for durability on track.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance.
