The Porsche 911 Turbo 997 exhaust from SOUL Performance lets the true character of the twin-turbo flat-six be heard with an aggressive yet refined sound to match its performance. A proprietary X-pipe design, 3-inch piping, and quad race resonators encourage maximum power gains and an exhilarating increase in engine note and turbo wail. The system weighs approximately 16.2lbs less than the factory exhaust components (23.4lbs vs 39.6lbs factory). Direct bolt-on installation with instructions included. Development and Testing

SOUL wanted to form a Porsche exhaust that’s as aggressive as possible while minimizing drone: greater volume with a greater amount of pops and burbles on deceleration. Supporting high power was another consideration, making 3-inch tubing a necessity. SOUL experimented with adding a mixing chamber to the X-pipe design; analysis in 3D CAD software showed a general increase in velocity downstream of the mixing chamber across a band of measured pressure and temperature levels. This produces optimal flow characteristics, reduced backpressure for higher horsepower, and enhanced sound quality. Quad race resonators make a discernible difference in reducing drone while encouraging a more refined exhaust note.
