Will the Akrapovic Slip-On Line fit my M3 or M4, including Competition and xDrive?

Yes. It fits the G80 M3 and G82 M4 in Base, Competition, Competition xDrive and CS forms, plus the G81 M3 Touring and G83 M4 Convertible, from 2021 on. It replaces the rear muffler section of the factory exhaust, bolts up directly, and works with the car's factory valve control, so it is a true slip-on.

Do I need to buy tail pipes separately?

Yes. This is the version that requires tips, so a carbon or titanium Akrapovic tail pipe set (TP-CT/69, TP-CT/68 or TP-CT/73/CF) is ordered separately and is mandatory to finish the system. If you would rather buy it complete, choose one of the versions that already include carbon tips.

How much power and weight does the Akrapovic Slip-On Line change?

It adds a measured 10.9 hp, 8.0 kW, at 6,000 rpm and 13.9 Nm at 5,000 rpm, with no remap required. It also cuts 8.3 kg, about 18 lb, from the car; the complete titanium system weighs 15.29 kg, roughly 35 percent lighter than the factory rear section.

Is it street legal and does it keep the OPF?

It is ECE type-approved for OPF-equipped cars, and it is a rear-muffler slip-on that leaves the car's factory emissions hardware in place. The approval applies to the system as sold, so confirm the requirements where the car is registered before installing.

What is the Akrapovic Slip-On Line made from?

The Akrapovic Slip-On Line is built from Akrapovic's proprietary titanium, cast and hand-welded in the company's own foundry, and finished with your choice of carbon or titanium tail pipes ordered separately. The titanium build is what lets the system run about 35 percent lighter than the factory rear section.

Does it need a tune, and how loud is it?

No tune is needed to run it. It gives the S58 a deeper, richer note while the factory valves keep the car quiet at light throttle and open it up under load. For full control, the optional Akrapovic Sound Kit adjusts the sound modes from a phone app or remote.

Description

Akrapovic Slip-On Line for G80 / G82 BMW M3 / M4

The Akrapovic Slip-On Line for the G80 M3 and G82 M4 answers the one thing owners miss most on the S58, a titanium voice worthy of the engine under it. Akrapovic pours and hand-welds its own titanium in Slovenia, the same craft behind the systems it builds for factory and championship motorsport, and it brings that to BMW’s twin-turbo six with hard, verifiable numbers rather than marketing. The titanium mufflers cut 8.3 kg from the car, about 18 lb, and free 10.9 hp and 13.9 Nm without any remap, while a pair of carbon or titanium tail pipes, chosen separately, finish the look. For the M3 or M4 owner who wants the car’s sound and weight to match its pace, it is Akrapovic engineering in its most usable form.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
