Description

CSF High-Performance Heat Exchanger for Ford GT

CSF developed this 3-piece cooling package after Boden Autohaus added a Ford GT to their collection and found that the factory radiator, heat exchanger, and transaxle cooler had been discontinued by Ford and were nearly impossible to source on the used market. Working with Boden Autohaus and Throtl, CSF debuted the kit on both shops’ Ford GT SEMA 2025 builds before public release.

CSF vs OEM

Front-mount heat exchangers function as radiators for the charge-air-cooling system, and because they sit stacked in front of the main radiator, their design, flow characteristics, and thermal output have to be carefully balanced against the rest of the cooling package. CSF specializes in air-to-water systems and is the first-choice supplier for heat exchangers on some of the fastest, most powerful race cars in the world. The factory unit on the Ford GT is reasonably matched to the OEM charge-air-cooler system, but cooling technology has moved considerably since the early 2000s; that gap is most noticeable for owners running larger superchargers or pushing higher power levels. The CSF Supercharger Heat Exchanger addresses it with a 1-Row 31mm aluminum core featuring CSF’s exclusive B-Tube Technology, which improves heat transfer by approximately 15 percent over conventional oval welded tubes. With roughly 32 percent more cooling tubes and fins than the OEM unit and super-efficient multi-louvered fins throughout, the CSF heat exchanger significantly outperforms the factory unit in heat dissipation while improving airflow to the radiator behind it.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance.
