On the E8X and E9X BMW, rear toe is adjusted through a simple but friction-dependent eccentric bolt at the toe arm. Under normal street conditions, it holds position reliably. Under sustained cornering load at a track day, autocross event, or aggressive canyon session, the force applied through the toe arm can exceed what friction alone can resist, and the bolt rotates. Rear toe shifts; sometimes toward understeer, sometimes toward oversteer; and the car handles differently than it was set up to handle. Without going back on an alignment rack, there is no way to know how much it has moved or in which direction. The SPL Parts ELT E9X eliminates that variable at the source. CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum lockout plates replace the factory toe arm eccentric bolt at both rear corners, secured with CAD-plated grade 10.9 bolts and lock nuts that mechanically prevent any rotation under load. The toe arm position becomes fixed; not held by friction, but held by hardware that cannot move. The alignment set before the session is the alignment the car runs through the full session, regardless of how many corners or how much lateral load the rear suspension sees.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse.
