The factory eccentric bolts on the non-M E8x and E9x BMW handle two rear alignment functions; camber and toe; and they do both with the same fundamental limitation: friction. Under sustained high cornering loads, that friction can be overcome. The bolts rotate, the alignment shifts, and the handling balance changes mid-session in ways that are consistent enough to be frustrating but subtle enough to be misdiagnosed as setup problems. The SPL EL E9X addresses both eccentric positions at once in a single purchase. CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum lockout plates replace the factory eccentric bolts at both the rear camber arm and rear toe arm positions. CAD-plated grade 10.9 bolts and lock nuts create mechanically fixed connections at both points; not held by friction, but held by hardware that physically cannot rotate under any cornering load. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer.
