Capristo exhaust systems are engineered and hand-built entirely in Sundern, Germany, using T309 stainless steel, manual TIG welding, and a mirror-polished finish. Patented GPF/OPF sport cat technology, heat-resistant metal jackets, and OEM mid pipe compatibility make these systems a straightforward choice for performance-focused builds.
If you want performance exhaust components with the same level of precision found in the cars they are built for, Capristo exhaust systems are in a category of their own. Every system is engineered and manufactured at the Capristo factory in Sundern, Germany, using 3D laser-scanning, CAD design, digital prototyping, and CNC bending and milling. The result is a fitment-first, performance-proven exhaust built entirely by hand.
Are Capristo exhaust systems made in Germany? Yes. Every Capristo exhaust system is designed and manufactured at the company’s factory in Sundern, Germany. The production process uses 3D laser-scanning, CAD design, digital prototyping, and CNC bending and milling. All units are manually TIG welded and hand-polished on-site by Capristo craftsmen; no part of the manufacturing is outsourced.
What stainless steel does Capristo use? Capristo exhaust systems are built using T309 (1.4828) stainless steel, one of the highest-grade stainless alloys used in exhaust manufacturing. This grade offers strong heat resistance and corrosion resistance, which is critical for high-performance applications.
Do Capristo sport cats throw a check engine light? The 250-cell sport cats use Capristo’s patented GPF/OPF technology and are designed to eliminate check engine lights without additional hardware. The 100-cell sport cats may require an OBD Wizard Pro for CEL elimination, depending on the vehicle. Both sport cat options are recommended for off-road and track use only.
Are Capristo exhaust systems compatible with stock mid pipes? Yes. Capristo exhaust systems are compatible with both OEM mid pipes and Capristo mid pipes, giving you the option to retain your existing mid section or upgrade to a full Capristo system.
Does a Capristo sport cat require a break-in procedure? Yes. A break-in procedure is required after sport cat installation. Full instructions are provided in the installation guide included with the product.
Since 1990, CAPRISTO has set the benchmark for high-performance exhaust systems, beginning with advanced solutions developed for Ferrari platforms. Over the decades, the brand has grown into a leading manufacturer of precision-engineered exhaust systems for exotic street cars, supercars, and track-prepared builds. Innovation is driven from CAPRISTO’s manufacturing and R&D facility in Sundern, Germany, where production methods are continually refined to meet or exceed OEM-level quality standards. CAPRISTO’s engineers and technicians focus on developing high-performance exhaust and carbon fiber components engineered for durability, performance, and sound. Under founder and CEO Antonio Capristo, the company holds multiple international patents in performance exhaust technology, reinforcing its long-standing reputation for innovation. Every CAPRISTO exhaust system is produced from T309 stainless steel, a heat-resistant alloy designed for extreme temperature environments above 600°C. Mandrel-bent tubing and hand-welded construction help ensure consistent fitment and craftsmanship. CAPRISTO exhaust systems are widely recognized for distinctive sound character, track-proven results, and dyno-verified gains in power and torque, enhancing both the acoustic and visual presence of each vehicle application.
