Brixton Forged Magnesium+ Series FDE04 Wheel

The Brixton Forged Magnesium+ Series exists for a specific reason; on a sports car or supercar, the weight of the wheel has measurable consequences on how the car behaves, and AZ80 forged magnesium is where the ceiling is. Each wheel is a 1-piece monoblock forged from AZ80 magnesium alloy and finished with a micro-arc oxidation coating that handles corrosion resistance without adding meaningful weight, starting from 15.2lbs (6.9kg) and running 30% lighter than forged aluminum by volume. The reduction in unsprung mass shows up in steering feel, braking response, and how the car settles through corners on platforms built to respond to exactly those inputs. AZ80 magnesium also brings 12% greater specific strength than aluminum and a significantly higher dampening capacity, which keeps the ride quality intact and the handling precise under sustained hard use.

• Ultra-Lightweight Magnesium: Each Magnesium+ wheel starts at 15.6lbs (7.2kg) in a 20×9 fitment, achieving a 30% weight reduction over aluminum across equivalent sizes through magnesium’s inherently finer hexagonal grain structure and lower material density. The drop in unsprung mass translates directly into how the car responds through corners, under braking, and off the line on platforms where those dynamics are most sensitive to change.
• Manufacturing & Applications: Magnesium+ wheels are forged from high-grade AZ80 magnesium alloy, CNC milled to tight dimensional tolerances, and heat treated to bring material hardness to the level that track use puts to the test. Every unit is protected with an anti-oxidation coating and cleared through structural and performance testing before leaving production. The series runs from 18 to 21 inches across a selection of designs built around the specific fitment requirements of sports cars and supercars.
• Diverse Design & Finish Selection: Through-cut spokes are a consistent feature across the Magnesium+ lineup, removing mass from areas where it can be taken out without affecting structural integrity while giving each design a visual character that reflects what the wheel is engineered to do. The reduction in rotational mass sharpens both acceleration and braking response, and the lower unsprung weight produces cornering stability and handling precision that register in the feel of the car before they show up anywhere else.
• Bead Seat Knurling: Bead-seat knurling comes standard on every Magnesium+ wheel, and on a wheel built around track performance it serves a specific purpose. The knurled texture at the bead seat holds the tire bead firmly against the rim under the lateral loads generated by high-speed cornering and hard acceleration, eliminating tire slip as a variable in the conditions where it would matter most.

• Brixton’s Text and Groove Fill program is for builds where color contrast is needed to bring specific design details out from the base finish. Epoxy accents can be applied to the Brixton logo, wheel name, series name, and design-specific grooves or spokes, with up to 3 fill instances per wheel depending on the design. Standard colors are Black, Blue, Green, Grey, Orange, Purple, Red, White, and Yellow, with all other colors available on request.

There are no “off the shelf” Brixton wheels and as such, a lead time of a few weeks is to be expected once your spec has been finalized.
