SOUL Performance Race Exhaust System for 982 Porsche 718 GT4 / Spyder / GTS 4.0

Development and Testing

• Exhaust upgrades developed by SOUL Performance for the GT4 platform focus on maximizing motorsports character, and the Race Exhaust achieves that by redesigning the system after the headers to optimize flow all the way through the tips. The factory dual-exit/entry flanges between the Over Axle Pipes and the PSE rear muffler limit tubing diameter to 2.25 inches, but the SOUL Performance Race Exhaust maintains a true 2.5-inch path on both sides with longer routing and a bespoke X-pipe to produce a smoother, higher-pitched tone reminiscent of earlier GT4 and Boxster Spyder setups. Durable race resonators help refine the aggressive note and, when paired with SOUL Performance drone canisters developed for the GT4 RS, reduce drone to a comfortable level. A non-resonated configuration is also available for drivers prioritizing maximum sound and weight savings.

Construction

• Each system is assembled in-house in the USA by SOUL Performance from mandrel-bent, thick-wall 0.065-inch T304L stainless steel. Back-purged TIG welding with ARCAL Prime argon gas supports proper weld penetration and long-term durability. Water-jet cut flanges are produced to ISO 9001:2015 standards with +/- 0.003-inch tolerances for exceptional precision. To maintain consistent, accurate fitment, SOUL Performance fabricates these over axle pipes in thick-gauge aluminum fixtures that act as heat sinks during welding and help prevent warping.

Bolt on and Go

• Every component is rigorously quality-checked by SOUL Performance, fixture test-fit to confirm proper fitment, then foam packed to help ensure it arrives in perfect condition. New high-grade hardware and four OEM Porsche gaskets are included for installation.
