SOUL Performance Race Exhaust System with Matte Black Straight Cut Tips for 982 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS / Spyder RS

SOUL Performance’s Race Exhaust is engineered with a true 3-inch diameter from the flanges to the tips, allowing the 4.0-liter flat-six to flow freely while delivering the sound the platform is known for. Its bespoke X-pipe refines the note into a crisp, motorsports-inspired character. For the same 3-inch flow with improved cabin comfort, the Resonated configuration addresses drone below 2500 RPM using resonators and integrated anti-drone tubes. On the factory side, the rear muffler was not a major restriction on the standard 718 GT4, but its carryover design becomes a bottleneck on the GT4 RS with its GT3-derived engine. With the tubing diameter unchanged, the added power is pushed through tubing under 2 1/4 inches. Although this approach helps satisfy sound regulations and streamlines manufacturing, it leaves performance on the table for the GT4 RS.

Development and Testing

The factory rear muffler was not much of a restriction on the standard 718 GT4, but carrying it over to the GT4 RS creates a bottleneck for the GT3-derived engine. Tubing diameter remains unchanged, forcing the added power through tubing that measures under 2 1/4 inches. While repurposing that muffler can help meet sound restrictions and streamline manufacturing, it does not extract the full performance potential of the GT4 RS. SOUL Performance’s Race Exhaust system is built with a true 3-inch diameter from the flanges to the tips, unlocking every bit of character from the 4.0-liter flat-six. A bespoke X-pipe sharpens the note with a crisp motorsports tone. For improved cabin comfort, the Resonated version targets drone below 2500 RPM using resonators and integrated anti-drone tubes.

Construction

Each system is assembled in-house in the USA from mandrel-bent, thick-wall 0.065-inch T304L stainless steel. Back-purged TIG welding with ARCAL Prime argon gas ensures proper weld penetration and long-term durability. Water-jet cut flanges are produced to ISO 9001:2015 standards with tolerances of +/- 0.003 inches for exceptional precision. SOUL Performance fabricates these over axle pipes using thick-gauge aluminum fixtures that act as an effective heat sink during welding, helping prevent warping of both the components and the fixtures to maintain consistent, accurate fitment.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less.
