Pairing SOUL Performance Competition Over Axle Pipes with the SOUL Race Exhaust System removes the primary bottlenecks in the GT4 RS exhaust path, unlocking the platform’s greatest sound and performance potential. Thanks to the Over Axle Pipes’ unique oval design, the system maintains a true 3-inch flow path throughout, allowing the 4.0-liter flat-six to express its motorsports pedigree in every way.

Development and Testing

Borrowing its 4.0-liter flat-six from the 992 GT3 Cup, the 718 GT4 RS arrives with true motorsports pedigree, yet global regulations and production constraints leave both performance and sound potential untapped. SOUL Performance developed its Race Exhaust Package to address the largest bottlenecks in the factory system – primarily the over axle pipes and the rear muffler. The factory over axle pipes contain a redundant catalytic core and a particulate filter (empty on North American cars), so replacing them delivers an immediate transformation, especially in flow and response. SOUL Performance Competition Over Axle Pipes use oval tubing to maintain a full 3-inch path and remove those restrictions to feed the rear section properly. At the back, the GT4 RS carries over a muffler from the standard GT4, limiting diameter despite the RS’s higher output, so the SOUL Performance Race Exhaust System maintains a true 3-inch single flow path all the way through the tips. For refined aggression, the Resonated option adds anti-drone tubes to smooth unwanted frequencies, while the Non-Resonated configuration is the lightweight choice for maximum volume and character from the GT4 RS.

Construction

Each system is assembled in-house in the USA using mandrel-bent, thick-wall 0.065″ T304L stainless steel. SOUL Performance employs back-purged TIG welding with ARCAL™ Prime argon gas to ensure proper weld penetration and long-term durability. Precision water-jet-cut flanges are manufactured to ISO 9001:2015 standards with tight tolerances of +/- 0.003 inches. Over Axle Pipes are fabricated on thick-gauge aluminum fixtures that act as effective heat sinks during welding, helping prevent warping of both the components and the fixtures to maintain consistent, OEM-quality fitment.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer.
