This kit replaces the OEM cylinder head bolts with Wagner Tuning Pro-Series 18.8 high-strength stud bolts, rated at an exceptional tensile strength of 1850 N/mm², effectively preventing bolt stretch and cylinder head lift under increased performance demands. Featuring a black oxide Burnished finish for durable corrosion protection and long-term reliability, these reusable studs do not require replacement after disassembly, making them a dependable solution for serious performance builds focused on strength, durability, and serviceability.

High-Quality Materials and Production

Wagner Tuning manufactures its Pro-Series 18.8 stud kits in Germany using specially engineered high-strength steel. After heat treatment, the studs achieve a tensile strength exceeding 1850 N/mm². All threads are roll-formed rather than cut, increasing thread flank strength by approximately 30 percent. Each Pro-Series fastener is finished with a black oxide burnished coating that provides long-lasting corrosion resistance, even under extreme operating conditions.

Easy Installation and Durability

Wagner Tuning designs the Pro-Series stud bolts with an internal hex drive on the head side for precise and controlled installation. A conical support section on the engine block side ensures clamping force is transferred against the bore instead of the thread flanks when the nuts are tightened, helping protect engine block threads during repeated assembly, particularly in motorsport applications. Each kit is supplied with matching high-strength nuts and, where required, washers that meet the same 1850 N/mm² tensile strength rating, offering a clear durability advantage over many alternative fastener solutions.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do.
